Six brands in running for national award

Six on-trade businesses have been revealed as the finalists of Pub and Bar Brand of the Year.

Six on-trade businesses have been revealed as the finalists of Pub and Bar Brand of the Year, as part of the 2022 National Pub & Bar Awards.

While the event focuses on 94 individual pubs and bars, which have all be named as the best in their respective counties, the Pub and Bar Brand of the Year awards complement the celebrations by acknowledging standout and consistent national brands that operate on many high streets across the UK.

"It's one thing to run an individual venue with reliable excellence that continues to meet consumer expectations, but to do this across a whole country through multiple outlets is another achievement altogether," says Tristan O'Hana, editor of Pub & Bar, which runs the awards. "These six organisations are able to deliver an experience true to the foundations of the brand in question, offering visitors a tried and tested on-trade visit no the matter the town or city."

The three Pub Brand of the Year finalists are Hungry Horse from Greene King, Brewhouse & Kitchen and JD Wetherspoon. While up for the Bar Brand of the Year accolade are Be at One, Revolution and Loungers.

Both winners will be officially crowned at the National Pub & Bar Awards red carpet celebration at 30 Euston Square on Wednesday 22 June. At the grand final, 15 Regional Winners will also be announced, as well as the esteemed accolade – the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year, which was won by Galvin Green Man in Essex in 2021.

The National Pub & Bar Awards is sponsored by Hellmann’s, Kegstar, Kingfisher, Knorr and St Pierre.
