Axe throwing concept heads to West End

Whistle Punks has signed a new central London deal with The Langham Estate.

Whistle Punks, the concept that combines axe throwing, cocktails and pizza, will open its next venue in London's West End, after signing a deal with The Langham Estate.

The competitive socialising brand's fifth venue will open moments away from Oxford Street, taking over the former Busaba Eathai site on Eastcastle Street.

Joining sites in south London, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds, the central London Whistle Punks will house nine throwing lanes, a pizza restaurant and a cocktail bar.

"We have been delighted to see the growth of axe throwing awareness and demand across the UK over the past couple of years, and post-pandemic trade has been as strong as ever, with ticket sales 30% up in Q2 2022 vs Q2 2019," says Jools Whitehorn, co-founder of Whistle Punks. "We are thrilled to be joining The Langham Estate and believe our new flagship location just off Oxford Street will help us unlock Whistle Punks’ full potential, expand our catchment area and bring our unique appeal to a whole new, larger audience. We are looking forward to what the future holds for our brand in this exciting new space.”

The Langham Estate has let or opened 70,000 sq ft of commercial space to date this year, and has over 80,000 sq ft currently under offer, signalling a positive upswing for the West End after an extensive period of slowdown linked to the pandemic.
