The Classic Cocktail Competition

The Classic Cocktail Competition is a one-day cocktail showdown for pub, bar, hotel and restaurant bartenders.

At the most recent event, Luke Leiper from bar brand operator Sixes was named the Bartender of the Year, following a flawless performance at the 2025 Classic Cocktail Competition.

At the final, 15 elite bartenders are required to make six different classic cocktails each, all served in their own signature style. Cocktails are scored on: balance of flavours, overall taste/enjoyment, presentation, knowledge and skill.
