Plimsoll chef to launch Hoxton debut

The Plimsoll’s Jamie Allan will open The Macbeth in Hoxton.

The Macbeth in east London's Hoxton will be the debut solo venture for chef Jamie Allan, previously with Four Legs and The Plimsoll in Finsbury Park.

Joining Allan is Patrick Nolan, who will be heading up the front-of-house.

Situated on Hoxton Street, one of London’s oldest market streets, The Macbeth has been a local fixture since the mid-1800s.

This new chapter will introduce a food offering inspired by the tascas of Portugal. The
kitchen will carry a European flair with drinks being served until late and seating times available up to 11pm.

Menu staples will include Morcela Fina, Chicken Samosas, Snail Rice and Pork & Cheese Rolls.

During the pre-opening refurbishment, an English oak bar is being installed. Decor updates will also spotlight some of the building's original fixtures, including a 19th century tiled mural that’s
being brought to the forefront as a key visual element to the space.
