Punch shuffles leaders to support business targets
Punch Pubs & Co. has made changes to its leadership structure.
One of the UK's largest pub companies has made two key senior appointments, as it looks to execute key business objectives.
Punch Pubs & Co., led by CEO Andy Spencer, says it has made changes to its leadership structure to improve execution, drive growth and reinforce its aim of becoming a "5 Star Pub Company".
Steve Worrall has been appointed to the newly established role of group projects director. In this capacity, he will be responsible for establishing a dedicated Project Management Office and overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to accelerate the company’s progress over the next 12 months and beyond.
Punch says this appointment will ensure that all growth drivers, including partnerships, investments and acquisitions, are managed to ensure transparency and consistent excellence.
A new MD
Punch is also combining oversight of its Leased & Tenanted (L&T) and Management Partnerships (MP) divisions, with Robin Belither (pictured) promoted to managing director of Punch Pubs to lead both areas.
"Robin’s leadership will drive unified, sustainable growth, helping our operational teams learn from both business units and move more quickly," says Spencer. "He’ll be supported by our outstanding operations directors in both our MP and L&T leadership teams, who’s complementary strengths will enable Robin to make a real impact in this expanded role."
Punch's 5 Star Pub Company ambition focuses on five key priorities for the year: being the best possible partners, improving investment speed and quality, shifting more pubs to optimal models, acquiring new sites, and driving innovation.
