Humble Grape prepares its seventh venue
The new Humble Grape site will be on Bow Lane.
London will soon welcome another Humble Grape venue, as the wine bar and importer prepares to open the doors to its seventh site.
The new site on Bow Lane will sit beneath the Bow Bells in the 11th-century crypt of St Mary-le-Bow in Cheapside.
Spanning three bays and featuring original Norman arches and a groined vault, the venue will accommodate 60 guests inside and 40 on the terrace.
"Opening our doors within such an extraordinary setting is both humbling and inspiring," says founder James Dawson. "St Mary-le-Bow has stood for centuries as a place of gathering and community - values that resonate deeply with Humble Grape. We want Bow Lane to be more than a wine bar; it’s a place where people can connect, discover wines made with integrity and feel part of something timeless."
Grape expectations
Founded in 2009, Humble Grape has grown from a single location into a family of wine bars across London.
Wines involve no mass production and no unnecessary chemicals. Humble Grape directly imports wines from 26 countries, working with independent producers who follow organic, biodynamic and sustainable practices.
The new wine bar, restaurant and wine shop will serve a curated list of over 500 bottles alongside a menu of European-inspired sharing plates.
Humble Grape Bow Lane is set to open November 2025.
