Kingfisher Drinks - 2025 Boring Beer Index
Kingfisher Drinks has just launched its 2025 Boring Beer Index! First introduced last year, the report is a yearly survey asking consumers which beers they are bored of seeing when out in the on-trade and what motivates their decision making at the point of purchase. We all know trading conditions are probably tougher than they’ve ever been, so getting your beer range right is key.
We’ve questioned one thousand drinkers from across the UK about their attitudes to beer brands and the ranges in their local pubs and bars. Those questioned ranged in age from 18-year-olds, taking their first steps in the on trade to octogenarians still enjoying a pint or two in their local. The respondents also included both men and women.
If you run a pub or bar of any type or size the insights within this report will help you better shape your beer range, as within this report we reveal:
- How satisfied consumers are with the beer ranges they find when out in the on-trade
- Why your draught beer range is so important and its impact on how long consumers will stay in your outlet
- The three main factors that consumers consider add up to making an enticing beer range
- Which lager brands they are most bored of seeing
- Which ale & stout brands they are most bored of seeing
- Whether they like to stick to one brand or switch to another
- What influences their beer choices
All this will give you the insight you need to re-examine your beer range with fresh eyes, combine your local knowledge of your regular clientele and work with your supplier to help create a range that will entice regular custom and get your tills ringing!
