Bristol's Carmen Street Wine to open new bottleshop
Carmen Street Wine Bar & Bottleshop will open in Bristol in late November.
Giles Coram and the team behind Bristol’s Carmen Street Wine are opening a new bottleshop next door to the Stokes Croft neighbourhood bar.
Opening on 29 November as an extension of the original space and creating an additional 30 covers, Carmen Street Wine Bar & Bottleshop will have bottles available to take away, purchase online, as well as pouring wine on site for those wanting to sit in.
A menu of produce-led bar snacks, seasonal small plates, charcuterie and cheese will also be available from head chef Matty Grove.
Carmen Street Wine Bar & Bottleshop will join Coram's other Bristol venue Caper & Cure.
"We’re delighted to announce the expansion of Carmen Street Wine Bar & Bottleshop," says Coram. "We want to ensure guests continue to feel warmly welcomed while discovering the wines we carefully seek out.
"As part of this expansion, we’re now importing directly from wineries, which has been a long-term goal of mine. Currently importing from Alto de Pioz near Madrid and Les Gragnotes near Perpignan, in the New Year, we’re excited to broaden our portfolio even further, with our sights set on northern Italy for our next direct import partnership."
