Little Teapot Taverns takes City of London pub

The Arbitrager has been taken on by Little Teapot Taverns.

The Arbitrager, a well-known pub in the City of London, has been taken on by Little Teapot Taverns.

Run by Tony and Catherine Bennett, The Arbitrager is the operator's second site, joining Devereux in Temple. The lease has been bought for £100,000 from former owner Blood and Sand, run by Paul Matthew.

The Bennetts have signalled their continued commitment to London’s pub heritage and plan to bring a refreshed yet authentic experience to one of the Square Mile’s most recognisable pubs.

"We loved resurrecting the Devereux back into a traditional London pub, and we can't wait to do the same with The Arbitrager," they say. "It's a privilege to be able to take on such a special site in the heart of the City."

Christie & Co managed the sale process.
