Bradley Hare joins Beckford Group portfolio
The Beckford Group has added The Bradley Hare to its collection of pubs with rooms.
South west pub operator Beckford Group has added The Bradley Hare to its collection of pubs with rooms and restaurants.
It will officially join the group when it reopens under new name The Bradley Hare Inn on 13 February in the Wiltshire village of Maiden Bradley, but the trio behind Beckford had mentioned the acquisition in passing when speaking to Pub & Bar last year.
The Bradley Hare was met by critical acclaim when it was reopened in the village of Maiden Bradley in 2021 by James Thurstan Waterworth, former design director at Soho House, and hospitality entrepreneur Andrew Kelly.
Under the duo's leadership, it was named Wiltshire Pub & Bar of the Year at the 2022 National Pub & Bar Awards.
The Beckford Group says it is now "trying to save the pub after the previous operator went into liquidation". The pub has 12 bedrooms, with seven above the pub and a further five in a coach house.
The new menu has been devised by group chef Adam Bristow and will be cooked by head chef Jaek Kelly and his team in the kitchen.
Once open, The Bradley Hare marks the beginning of a landmark year of growth for The Beckford Group, which plans to unveil a total of four new properties, including its first-ever hotel Teffont House in the Nadder Valley; a British brasserie with rooms in Corsham, and two new inns.
The business is led by founders Dan Brod, Charlie Luxton and Matt Greenlees (pictured).
