The Breakfast Group partners with rum bar Laki Kane
Laki Kane will be relaunched in partnership with The Breakfast Group.
Bar operator The Breakfast Group has announced a new partnership with tropical bar brand Laki Kane.
The collaboration marks a strategic relaunch for Laki Kane, bringing the rum-focused concept to the West End through the takeover of The Breakfast Group's Burlock Bar on Oxford Street.
The new site will be overseen by Georgi Radev, former creative manager of the Mahiki bars. The Oxford Street bar will have a 3am license, a dance floor and a more club-focused approach.
Laki Kane’s Oxford Street launch introduces its immersive programming, including its Spirit of Tiki Brunch, rum tasting experiences, rum-making workshops and cocktail masterclasses inspired by Radev’s book Let’s Get Tropical.
The food offering has been developed in collaboration with chef Colin Brown, featuring a Caribbean-inspired menu designed to complement the brand’s rum programme. Dishes include rum barbecue wings with June plum and lime; jerk chicken with sweet and sour miso; salt fish fritters with mango chilli; and the signature Laki Chicken Burger.
Founded in 1991 by Eric Yu and Connie O’Donovan, The Breakfast Group operates a collection of cocktail bars and hospitality venues across the UK, including Burlock Rum Bar, Lucy Wong and 68 & Shanghai.
