Fifth site dawns for Prospect Pubs & Bars

Prospect Pubs & Bars Ltd is preparing to open its fifth site, The Joiners Arms, in Oxfordshire next month.

The brand, owned by Dan Shotton and Mark Draper, will open the Grade II listed building in Bloxham near the Cotswolds in mid-January. Originally built in the 16th century as an inn with courtyard and stabling to serve travellers passing through the village, The Joiners Arms still retains many of the building's original features.

The new owners are currently in the midst of a major site refurbishment and extension of the property, which they hope to restore back to its former glory, whilst also adding to and enhancing the venue's dining and outdoor areas. The inside space will have 130 covers, while outside will offer an extended 70-cover terraced patio for alfresco drinking and dining.

Guests will be able to order from a range of well-known beers and ales, alongside premium international beers, ciders, spirits, wines and low- and no-alcohol alternatives.

Food at The Joiners Arms will focus on locally-sourced, seasonal dishes, with a menu that includes both pub classics and more premium gastro dining options.

“We’re delighted to take ownership of The Joiners Arms and cannot wait to get this much-loved site back up and running again. The Joiners is a fabulous country pub of scale, and compliments well our other sites in the region, namely The Evenlode in Eynsham and The Royal Oak, Marlow," says Shotton, director of Prospect Pubs & Bars.
