Boom Battle Bar opens at The O2

Axe throwing, augmented reality darts, shuffleboard, crazy golf and karaoke launch The O2 in London.

A bar that features axe throwing, augmented reality darts, shuffleboard, crazy golf and karaoke has opened at The O2 in London.

Waterfront Limited Partnership, a joint venture between AEG and Crosstree Real Estate Partners, which owns and operates Icon Outlet and the Entertainment District at The O2, is celebrating the opening of the largest Boom Battle Bar in the UK.

The 16,000 sq ft venue spans two floors and offers street food, cocktails and a bar service alongside its competitive socialising concepts. It joins the extensive leisure offering at The O2, which also includes TOCA Social, Oxygen Freejumping trampoline park and Hollywood Bowl.

“We’re delighted to be opening our epic new venue at The O2, so we can bring the Boom experience to such an iconic London venue," says Richard Harpham, CEO of Boom Battle Bar. "This is our biggest Boom Battle Bar yet, and our venue at The O2 will house our most sought after games. As the Entertainment District at The O2 continues to go from strength-to-strength, we are excited to join the venue as the go-to destination for competitive socialising.”

The O2 opening takes the Boom Battle Bar estate to nine, with as many as 19 more in the pipeline across the UK.
