Punch Pubs launches 25th Fireside venue

The Ship in Elswick, Lancashire, has become the 25th site to join the Punch Pubs Fireside estate.

The Ship in Elswick, Lancashire, has become the 25th site to join the Punch Pubs Fireside estate, following a £400,000 investment from the pub company.

Punch's Fireside concept sits within its management partnership portfolio.The pub company currently has around 1,300 pubs across the UK.  

The Ship has been transformed through the investment, with the food and drink now mirroring the menus of other the managed Fireside pubs. Butcher Aubrey Allen was recently named in partnership with Fireside.

"We are so proud to be reopening The Ship and unveiling its beautiful new look," says operations director Robin Belither. "It's a magnificent country pub and the perfect place to mark the opening of our 25th Fireside pub. We're very excited at the prospect of opening even more Fireside pubs across the country."
