ThinCats backs ETM Group in £11m deal

ETM Group has secured over £11m of funding from the alternative lender to mid-sized SMEs.

ETM Group has secured over £11m of funding from ThinCats, the alternative lender to mid-sized SMEs.

This funding has enabled the Ed Martin-led group to refinance the entirety of its bank loans, as well as provide suitable working capital headroom to underpin further organic growth.

ETM, founded in 2000, has transformed from a group of city gastropubs into a collection of eclectic venues across London. The business currently operates 12 sites, including rooftop bar Aviary, premium sports pubs Greenwood and Redwood, and food-led pubs and restaurants such as The Jugged Hare and The Botanist Sloane Square.

For the year to 27 February 2022, ETM reported a turnover of £21.6m and a return to healthy EBITDA profitability following Covid-19.

“We remain optimistic about growth for the sector and are grateful to Dave and the ThinCats team for their support and commitment," says Martin. "This funding ensures we can continue to offer lasting experiences for our customers in unique and exciting venues in beautiful settings across the capital."
