National Pub & Bar Awards 2024 open for entry

The annual event is back to celebrate on-trade champions across the country.

Entries are now open for the 2024 National Pub & Bar Awards, as the annual event returns to celebrate on-trade champions across the country.

The awards will once again be crowning the best venues within 94 counties across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, showcasing the UK’s finest pubs and bars on a national scale.

Operators can enter venues online at nationalpubandbarawards.co.uk. If you’re a multiple operator, there is no limit to the amount of sites you can enter.

All of the 94 County Winners, announced at the end of March, will be invited to the National Pub & Bar Awards Grand Final, which will take place in London on Wednesday 26 June.

What winning an award can do for business

As well as celebrating the 94 County Winners, the evening will see 13 Regional Winners revealed, as well as the prestigious National Pub & Bar of the Year, which last year was won by The Running Horses in Surrey. Operator Manu Bhatt says the pub saw an immediate business boost after their win:

"The award brought a noticeable increase in sales, reaffirming that our dedication to excellence pays off in more ways than one," he says. "There’s more people coming through the door. The customers mention it too – ‘You won pub of the year!’ they say. Plus the local community all know about it and they’re also really proud.

"We put the news on the local WhatsApp group, which is a community of around 270 people, but then they started replying with all these articles and newspaper clippings in there!"

The closing date for entries is Friday 22 March. Enter online at nationalpubandbarawards.co.uk.
