Pub operators invited to new beer trade session
We are Beer is holding an exclusive trade session at its Manchester event.
Pub and bar operators are being invited to attend a new beer trade session in Manchester.
We are Beer, organiser of the London, Bristol and Manchester Craft Beer Festivals, is holding an exclusive trade session at its Manchester event for the first time this year, and is inviting pub and bar operators to attend for free.
On the afternoon of Friday 5 July 2024, between 12.30pm and 4.30pm, We are Beer will open its doors to pub and bar operators, alongside beer buyers, beer writers and brewers for a session of industry talks, exclusive insight, networking, and of course beer tasting. The new Manchester trade session will be in addition to the already successful London Craft Beer Festival trade session, which will this year take place on Friday 9 August 2024, from 11.30am to 4.30pm.
Last year’s London session attracted more than 3,500 trade visitors from 835 companies. In total, buyers responsible for 67% of UK craft beer sales visited a We are Beer festival in 2023. This year, the events are set to attract over 35,000 drinkers, buyers and other industry professionals.
What’s on?
Taste from hundreds of classic and new beers from British craft brewers such as Deya, Siren, Tiny Rebel, Verdant and Northern Monk, alongside traditional cask beers from St Austell, Five Points and Timothy Taylor, and beers from international brewers, including Duvel Moortgat, Budvar and a delegation from the Brewers Association of America.
A curated programme of talks, tutored tastings, expert advice and insight will run across the festivals, led by Jonny Garret (Craft Beer Channel, author and award-winning journalist), Mark Dredge (Channel 4 Sunday Brunch) and We are Beer’s co-founder, Greg Wells.
And, with hundreds of industry professionals in attendance – close to 750 buyers attended the London trade session last year from UK on- and off-trade groups, independents, and wholesalers from across the UK and Europe – there’ll be plenty of friends and colleagues, old and new, for networking opportunities.
