Pooley-Tolkien-Williams takes on brewery and pub
The Star Inn and Penzance Brewing Company have been purchased.
Chef Trystan-Ross Pooley-Tolkien-Williams and his wife Daisy have acquired The Star Inn and Penzance Brewing Company in Cornwall.
Having spent a decade in Michelin-starred kitchens under the likes of Angela Hartnett, Nieves Barragan, Gary Foulkes and Sat Bains, Pooley-Tolkien-Williams' new venture sees him taking on his own venue.
The Star Inn’s original owner, the late Pete Elvin, ran the venue for over 25 years, having purchased the inn with his partner in 1999.
"We are deeply honoured to have been entrusted with continuing the legacy that Pete and Tracey have built over the years," say the couple. "We understand how much this brewery and pub means to the local community, and we are committed to maintaining its heart and soul whilst also bringing in fresh ideas to help it grow and thrive."
While the Penzance Brewing Company continues to operate, The Star Inn will open in the run up to Christmas with a full kitchen to follow in the new year.
