Laine Pub Company opens Deadwax in Brighton
The Laine Pub Company has opened the doors to Deadwax in Brighton.
The city of Brighton has a new audio-led venue to enjoy, as the Laine Pub Company opens the doors to Deadwax, Brighton’s re-invention of the 'ultimate audiophile's pub'.
Following a significant investment from the Punch-owned business, Deadwax has been transformed into a new audio-driven experience, featuring vinyl, CDJs and live performances.
The venue’s new concept takes inspiration from vinyl culture and high-fidelity audio, creating an environment where neo-soul, indie and selector-led beats fill the space.
"Deadwax is a place where the music doesn’t just play; it reverberates through the very fabric of the venue," says Ama, management partner at Deadwax. "We wanted to create an environment that respects Brighton’s rich cultural tapestry while pushing the boundaries of what nightlife can be. This investment represents our dedication to giving Brighton a new home for unforgettable nights out."
Inside the venue
Deadwax’s layout has been designed to encourage movement and connection. From the smaller nooks to the larger, DJ-led main area, each corner of the venue aims to create a different energy.
In addition to its audio focus, Deadwax offers an elevated drinks menu, inclduing curated drinks-only party packages.
In December, Deadwax will host Milkshake RnB with DJ Lewis from 11pm to 3am and a special night featuring a rapper MC/DJ duo.
