Pubcos participate in free pint giveaways
Stonegate, Admiral Taverns/Proper Pubs, Amber Taverns and more are working with Heineken UK.

Pub companies from across the UK have signed up to give away free 0.0% beer to try and encourage guests back into venues in January.
Businesses such as Stonegate, Admiral Taverns/Proper Pubs, Amber Taverns and more are working with Heineken UK to offer consumers thousands of pints and bottles of Heineken 0.0.
Available in 2,500 participating pubs across England, Scotland and Wales, drinkers can redeem a free pint or bottle of Heineken 0.0 at the bar throughout January by either scanning a QR code in venue or clicking through on social channels.
The brewer is also targeting consumers and supporting pubs through digital outdoor advertising to promote the campaign, using location-based data to call out the participating pubs by name, and how long it would take to walk there.
"An estimated 9m adults attempt Dry January each year here in the UK and 50% of those people make up an excuse to avoid going out to the pub to drink with friends," says Stephanie Dexter, brand lead for Heineken at Heineken UK. "We wanted to ensure Heineken 0.0 was supporting the Great British pub in the fridge and on the bar to encourage drinkers back into venue – a win for publicans and punters alike."
Don't Bale on your mates
The giveaway launches as part of Heineken 0.0’s ‘Don’t Bale on Your Mates’ advertising campaign, featuring footballer and Heineken 0.0 brand ambassador Gareth Bale.
The Don't Bale on Your Mates campaign is live across socials, Youtube and video-on demand alongside an influencer plan that’s all about getting mates down to the pub this month, featuring influencers such as Schooner Scorer, Britain’s Got Talent winner Axel Blake and football content creator John Jancewicz.
