Country Creatures to host star-studded chef series
The Country Creatures Chef Series will return to The Double Red Duke pub.

A Cotswold pub is set to host four revered chefs as part of a series takeover running throughout the year.
The Country Creatures Chef Series, run by Sam and Georgie Pearman (pictured), will return to The Double Red Duke pub, welcoming chefs Richard Foster, Rose Chalalai Singh, Margot Henderson and Niklas Ekstedt.
The Chef Series was launched by the Cubitt House owners back in 2021, initially welcoming Richard Corrigan, Ben Tish and Thomasina Miers.
What's in store for 2025?
Kicking off the series on 30 April will be Foster, executive chef of Ibai, the city steak restaurant specialising in French Basque cooking. He has devised a four course feast, featuring the likes of Basque style turbot, lamb and boudin noir vol-au-vent with broad beans, and a cherry gateau Basque.
On 11 of June, The Double Red Duke will welcome Chalalai Singh. Born in Bangkok, she is celebrated for her home-style Thai cooking and being a new archetype of the celebrated café society in Paris. Her menu will include curries, salads and traditional Thai dishes.
Come 8 October, chef and co-founder of Rochelle Canteen and The Three Horseshoes Margot Henderson OBE will take over the kitchen. Henderson's menu will feature comforting dishes, designed to share.
Rounding off the series on 12 November will be renowned Swedish chef Niklas Ekstedt. He will share his love of cooking over fire with guests, culminating in a unique menu highlighting Ekstedt’s distinctive approach to cooking and his signature Nordic technique.
At the end of last year, the Pearmans opened The Mason’s Arms, a 16th century inn with rooms, directly opposite The Double Red Duke. The duo also operate Cubitt House, the eight-strong outfit in London.
