Liberation's Alice Bowyer adds drinks to her role
Alice Bowyer has been promoted to director of food and drink at Liberation Group.
The operator of the National Pub & Bar of the Year has promoted Alice Bowyer to director of food and drink.
Having worked as Liberation Group's director of food since December 2023, the new role means Bowyer will now lead in the acceleration and innovation of the drinks side of the business.
Its drinks range sits under both its Butcombe Brewing Co and Liberation Brewing Co brands. has gone from strength to strength, becoming firm favourites at the pumps in pubs across the UK.
"I am delighted to be stepping into this new role," says Bowyer. "Our incredible drinks offering deserves as much attention and focus as our food, so I am looking forward to working closely with our brilliant teams to make sure we continue to innovate, elevate and push the boundaries, creating even better and more memorable experiences for our guests to enjoy."
Award winners
In June 2024, Liberation's The George Inn, Norton St Philip, was named the pub of the year at the National Pub & Bar Awards, with its food offer being one of the highest scoring categories during the judging process.
Since joining Liberation Group in 2016, Bowyer has risen through the ranks, innovating and pushing Liberation Group’s food offer forward, winning many prestigious awards along the way. Since her arrival, managed pub sales have increased and the group’s reputation for food has become central to its success as a provider of premium accommodation in the UK.
