The Breakfast Group will launch its latest venue this February in Fitzrovia.

Lucy Wong is an underground cocktail bar with a hidden outdoor terrace located in the heart of central London

The bar (and name) is a tribute to the 1957 novel The World of Suzie Wong by Richard Mason, a love story and time capsule of Hong Kong in the late 50s. Lucy Wong is the imagined daughter of the novel’s title character. She is a London socialite famed for the glamorous parties she hosts in her Fitzrovia apartment.

The Rathbone Place venue will feature decor inspired by Chinese design, cocktails, dim sum and roasted meats.

“Lucy Wong will be an exciting launch for us in London – a new style and concept for our bars and restaurants and a site that is very special for me," says The Breakfast Group’s founder Eric Yu. "It’s a tribute to my mother and allows me to tell my story of growing up in Hong Kong. The cocktails will be simply amazing, with Dré Masso providing his expertise.”

The bar will open its doors in late February, with a limited 50%-off food offer for anyone who has signed up here.
